This week we welcomed:

Morton Hospital Corporate Members:
Crystal Hilton - Melissa Brailsford - Patty Pfeiffer
Guests of Rotarian Dr. Charles Thayer
Last Week's Speaker
At our most recent meeting, we welcomed Rotarian Dr. Charles Thayer and Morton Hospital Staff and department heads who gave our membership an update on some of the wonderful things that are happening at Morton Hospital. Dr. Thayer mentioned that he has been speaking at Rotary meetings since he was 16 years old.

Dr. Thayer gave us a brief overview of Morton Hospital's 130-year history of quality caring for the greater Taunton area community. He spoke of the new state of the art Emergency Room facility that contains all private rooms. Dr. Thayer further addressed how Morton is hiring new nurses, starting internship programs, training CNAs, and partnering with local high schools, giving back to the Taunton community through outreach programs, and the hiring of new doctors along with a new President. Morton's new president is a Taunton native and has served as a CFO of numerous hospitals and medical facilities.

Dr. Thayer gave the program over to Morton Department heads Crystal Hilton, Melissa Brailsford and Patty Pfeiffer who explained the scope and responsibilities of their departments. The Quality and Risk department was highlighted.

Thanks are in order to Dr. Charles Thayer, MD and his department heads for a very informative program.
