President-elect Carol ran the meeting.

Ed had an update that Taunton England club doesn't have 2 candidates yet for a July exchange. He'll be sure to let us know if they do in fact plan to send two people.

Kiwanis invites us to join them on May 4 for their "Men with Taste" fundraiser.

Upcoming calendar items:

On May 2 we will have our meeting at P.R.I.D.E. This meeting will start at 11 am with group activities (sign up if you have special skills to share) followed by lunch.
May 3rd - 4th is our District Conference 2019 at The Doubletree Hotel in Danvers Mass. We can get you more info if you are interested in attending
Joe's installation as AG will be June 17.

Our meeting this week was a Pancake and Family Fun Day Planning meeting. Dave C. reports $8,200 secured corporate sponsorship dollars. The goal is $10,000. Also, the ads form is linked above if you know of ad sponsors. The raffle team is looking for 100% participation for raffles. You can donate a basket, materials for a basket, or money to shop.

Happy Bucks

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?

Dan had a buck for the upcoming AHS comedy Night Out Fundraiser for Adult Day Health on May 3. See Dan for tickets.
Jody had 2 happy bucks. The first is for the Spelling Bee victory and the second is for a recent trip to California to visit his aunt who is a healthy 97!
Rich had a happy buck to be with us at the meeting.
Joe M. had a Celtics in playoffs happy buck.
Carol had a buck for her grandson Ryan who recently ran the Knights of Columbus 5 mile race and won his age group. Granddaughter Megan is planning to run the marathon next year. And daughter Becky is in Washington DC with Girl Scouts.
Mike Tabak had a Happy Easter buck and was wearing his green jacket borrowed from Tiger Woods.
Dick Shafer had a memory buck for Charlie Volkmann who ran a membership drive with green jackets as a prize. He had a happy/sad buck for his recent trip to Kentucky for a "Celebration of Life" for friend's 98th birthday anniversary. He had a happy buck for another visit to a friend who is 88. He had a happy/sad buck that Maria Gooch is retiring from SEED Corp. after 36 years. And finally a happy/sad buck for Kerrie's last day at the Chamber.
