Past President Dan stepped in to run the meeting. Club members sent their good thoughts to President Bob and his wife.
The planned "Family Feud-style" fundraiser at the Elks was postponed. We will share the rescheduled date as soon as we know more information.
The Club will be buying a table at VFW 100th anniversary dinner on September 18. There are seats available if you would like to attend!
Backpacks have been packed and donated. Thanks to Staples for a donation and members who supported the effort. 72 backpacks were packed and so far deliveries have been made to the Y and Boys and Girls Club. There is still a donation left to be made to Girls Inc.
The third phase of fundraising for our 100th anniversary is getting underway soon. A reminder that October 28th is our celebration dinner.
Just a note--we did have one THS student attend virtual RYLA.

At our most recent meeting...
...we welcomed guest speaker (and former Paul Harris Award winning Rotarian) Debra Krohn from White Cross Pharmacy. White Cross Pharmacy has been family-owned since 1933 and offers simplified medical management to Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Southeastern Massachusetts. Debra was a very engaging speaker with great visuals and we appreciate her joining us for lunch!
We are now accepting funds using Venmo. Our account is @Rotary-Taunton, but the visible name shows up as “Rotary Taunton Rotary Taunton.”
Zulmira had a Happy Buck to welcome Debra as our speaker. She also had a "Takeback buck" for saying the red Sox were doing well. Let's hope it's an Unjinx buck. And in more happy news, Kit will be coming to our meeting on 9/9.
Harry Rose had a buck for Mike Tabak's birthday, and for Will and all the work he has been doing for the Taunton Charter Commitee.
Will had an Interact update buck (see Facebook!) The new board is hard at work with a lot of great ideas. They have been making videos and presentations boards and making Interact the coolest club to join at Taunton High School!
Carol Souza had two birthday bucks for the other August birthdays in the room.
Julie had a happy buck for a deal that has taken a while and is not finally closing and a happy buck for her son who is starting at BP next week and got his top choice shop.
Carol Sullivan had two happy bucks. The first was for Mike's birthday and the second was for Will's great update about the Interact Club!
Jody had two happy bucks. The first was fir his vote, 1 of only 2, to support a mask mandate in schools, and the second was for the MA Commission of Education who agreed with him, taking him off the hook locally.
