Our most recent club meeting was held on September 18 and led by President Bob.

Thanks to Joe and Zulmira for attending the Unite for Purpose event held by the District. Joe gave a quick recap and shared that he thought it was one of the best district events he's attended.

This month’s evening social is this week. The meeting will be held at La Familia on September 25.

Bob wished a very happy birthday and Rotary anniversary to all our members celebrating in September!

News From the Interact Club:

The Taunton High Interact Club is going to once again be participating in the City of Taunton’s annual Trunk or Treat on October 25th and asked if our Rotary Club members could consider making donations of candy. The Interact Club will be preparing for this event at their October 10th & 24th general membership meetings. Please bring any donations to our Rotary meetings, and we'll get them to the Interactors. Thank you!

...we welcomed Jim from TASC and Stacey, Community Business Relations Coordinator at AHS.

Jim shared that TASC is refocusing its mentoring program to support students who have clear goals, pairing them with mentors who can help them achieve those goals. They are currently looking for mentors, businesses willing to provide opportunities for students, and sites to host their new after-school model. They are also seeking volunteers for career chats, panel discussions, and other ways to inspire students—welcoming new ideas and mutual growth.

Stacey highlighted her work connecting youth with local businesses through AHS. This past summer, she successfully placed students at 18 different work sites, helping them gain valuable real-world experience.

Thanks to them both for joining us for lunch. Happy birthday to Stacey! And we look forward to connecting with you both in the future.

CORRECTION: In last week's Bulletin, it was incorrectly reported that Mike T. celebrated his grandson turning two during a recent trip to Boulder, Colorado. In fact, it was Dave T. who had the 2,000-mile birthday fun. My apologies for the error!

Zulmira had a number of happy bucks for: enjoying the Rotary Unite event; the AHS wine tasting coming up on November 6; to have speakers from AHS here today; and for Carol who is back this week!
Dick S. had a happy/sad buck — happy that Boys and Girls Club is expanding but sad that District Center for the Arts is leaving.
John D. had 10 happy bucks. His grandson arrived last week, 7 weeks early — will be at Tufts through November with great care. He is also going to the Sig Sauer plant in New Hampshire, and had a nice birthday.
Jody had a happy buck for recently running into Rev. Dr. James Martin, son of Morrill Martin, and his wife, whom he hadn't seen in 6–7 years. They send their family’s best to our club.
Carol Sullivan had 5 happy bucks to be back in action after both surgery and then a black eye! She's glad to see the wine tasting back in Taunton. She's happy to welcome our guests. And she's happy for Ed and John's September birthdays.
