Reminders:
We need volunteers for Family Fun Day! There will be a sign-up sheet at our weekly meeting, or you can reach out to Dave Correia with your availability.
Together with the Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters, we will have a table at the Taunton River Festival on June 14. We need volunteers at the table, so if you are free and able, let Bob know.
Our end-of-year celebration is confirmed for Thursday, June 26 at Ward 5.

At Our Most Recent Meeting...
...we welcomed Madhavi Kchittibhooma from the Attleboro/Taunton WIC program.
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) supports pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and young children through nutrition education, healthy food assistance, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and community resources.
Members learned how the WIC program supports pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five by providing access to healthy staples, including fresh fruits and vegetables, formula, and other nutritious foods. Also highlighted was the program’s flexible office hours and easy-to-use mobile app, which help make services more accessible and convenient for busy families.
In addition to nutrition support, the program connects families with a wide range of resources and referrals to other services that support the health and well-being of women and young children across the Greater Taunton and Attleboro communities.
Ed was happy to share the successful softball exploits of her granddaughters who hit and pitched their way to victories in the past week.
Julie was sad that her eldest, who was planning to become a corrections officer, was delayed for a year; happy that her youngest is heading to her junior prom, happy to have recently met relatives she had never met before, happy to be at Rotary, and happy to be celebrating her husband’s birthday today.
Dave T. send happy belated birthday wishes to George Mendros.
Will was happy for his daughter Sarah, who just finished her sophomore year and is in London for a May–June internship at a children’s hospital.
Dave C. was happy that his youngest turned 12 this past week, but sad about having to buy a $300 hockey stick.
Santina was happy to share that she does photography on the side and recently tried a new art project transferring photos onto wood slices. She debuted the work at a craft fair, sold more than half of the pieces, and was just accepted into SOAM.
Jen was happy to have visited the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for Mother’s Day last Saturday and also enjoyed the Chamber event last night, giving kudos to the organizers.
Carol Sullivan shared a happy memory from attending St. Xavier’s, an all-girls high school, where weekly dances with nearby La Salle, an all-boys school, led to her first kiss.
Bob R. also enjoyed the Chamber annual meeting and especially appreciated that TPAC performances were featured instead of a traditional keynote speaker.
Ed added a dollar for Carol’s story about remembering her first kiss.
