From the President

Our most recent meeting was held on January 10, 2019 at Stoneforge.

President Joe reminded the club that he will be appearing on FYI with John McCaul at TCAM on January 30th. Anyone who is available to join and help promote Rotary that day is invited. Just reach out to Joe for specifics.

The board will meet after our January 24 meeting. All are invited to attend and participate.

Upcoming calendar items:

Interact Celebration Night will be February 7th--no lunch time meeting that day
Million Dollar Meal is scheduled for Valentine’s Day at Pilgrim Church.
Winter Social will be at Sakana on February 28th. No lunch time meeting that day.

At our most recent meeting we had a Pancake and Family Fun Day planning meeting. Committee chairs reported on where their committees stand.

Action items for the Club:

Please consider donating a raffle basket to the raffle table. You can donate any time between now and the event!
If you know of any great entertainment, pass contact info along to Katie Dawkins.
Dave C. is managing sponsors. As they prep the "ask' forms, please let him know of any businesses who may be interested in a sponsorship for this event.
Please "like" the Rotary Club of Taunton Facebook page to stay up to date on news and updates. There is now a Facebook event for Pancake and Family Fun Day. Please share this far and wide! And as we book sponsors and entertainment, we'll promote on Facebook (another perk of sponsoring!).
Please keep June 15, 2019 clear for volunteering at the event. If you know of other volunteers, let John B. know.

Happy Bucks

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?

Ed had a happy/sad buck. he learned that Kevin Spacey's real last name is Fowler, but also learned that he is no relation.
John D. had 5 happy bucks for the Pats playoff game this weekend.
Darrell had a happy/sad buck for dropping his daughter at the airport to travel to Copenhagen for the spring semester. He is happy for her but will miss her!
Joe L. is happy that he doesn't have to watch the Giants this weekend and that they have secured the 6th pick in the draft. He was glad to see some snow falling as we headed into lunch. And, thanks to his wife, he is happy to welcome Chewy, a second dog, to his pack.
