Our District Celebration and Installation and the Taunton VFW 100th both took place on September 18th
Our Assistant District Governor, Paula Raposa, will be joining us for lunch at this week's meeting.
The "Family Feud-style" fundraiser at the Elks has been rescheduled for September 26 at noon.
Finally, our own 100th Anniversary celebration was only 6 weeks from our most recent meeting!
We are still looking for speakers. If you have someone in mind please reach out to Zulmira or Bob.
Joe Mitchell shared a Rotary Foundation Minute.
Carol Sullivan shared "Rotarians in the News."
And we were able to wish a Happy Birthday to Ed as our meeting took place just the day before his actual birthday!
At our most recent meeting...
Rotarian and Taunton City Charter Advisory Committee Member Will Mendonca was our speaker at our most recent meeting. Will updated the club on the process and results of his, and the committee's, hard work to update the Taunton City Charter.
Dave C. had a couple of happy bucks. He was glad to be back at a meeting and thankful for Will and the work on the Taunton City Charter.
Joe had a buck for remembering a Rotary Foundation Minute.
Katie had a sad buck for having meetings align on every other Thursday and having to leave early.
Will had a buck for a kind email from Dennis Cody about his new position at Bristol County Savings Bank. And he added an Interact buck for their upcoming first meeting of the school year. Lots of effort has been put into recruitment so our fingers are crossed they get a great turnout!
Dick had a Taunton River Festival, thank you buck. And an early notice that next year's will be on June 12th for anyone who would like to be involved.
Zulmira had a buck to say that she enjoyed having a table at the Taunton River Festival for AHS.
Dan had a happy buck for his first "Service Above Self" benefactor, John Beauchaine & Co. He also thanked Shafer Development Corp. and State Rep. Carol Doherty for recent contributions. Dan also had a buck for a Teen Challenge Benefit coming up on October 16-17. Flyer is below. If anyone wants more info, they can either call the number on the flyer or reach out to Dan.
