Last Week's Speaker
At our most recent meeting, Sergeant-at-Arms Ed Fowler and President Joe Livingston presided over the installation and pinning ceremony of our newest Rotarian, Cameron Lail.

Cameron then shared some information about his personal and professional life for his classification talk. From Michigan, Cameron went to Indiana University and then moved to the East Coast to start his career as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones. He started in Beverly, MA and this past spring took over the office in Bridgewater, and he has also moved to Bridgewater. He enjoys sports, most notably the Red Wings, Patriots, Red Sox, Michigan football and Hoosier basketball  (I hope I got that right.) He also likes cars and spending time on the water, boating and fishing.

Recently-inducted Rotarian Katie Dawkins also gave her classification talk. Katie is from Rhode Island and is currently living in Pawtucket with her husband, who retired from the military this past July. After spending the first part of her career in the for-profit world, she shifted her focus to non-profits, volunteering with a few organizations and now working for the Boys and Girls Club of Taunton, She enjoys the varied and interesting challenges she faces everyday and enjoys making a positive difference in the world with both her career and her free time. She likes trying all sorts of new things, and next on her list is jumping out of a plane!

We welcome Cameron and Katie to the club, and look forward to working together!
Happy Bucks
Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?
  • Harry Rose had a happy buck because the temperature maybe dropped a degree today.
  • Dick Shafer had a sad buck in memory of Bob Lima who recently passed away.
  • Joe Livingston passed along 10 dollars from Christine Kelly, who is sad to have been unable to attend recent meetings.  Joe had 3 hopeful bucks of his own, for the purchase of a new home, sale of his current home, and safe  move of all his stuff in the next week or so.
  • Carol Sullivan had a happy buck for the sale of her son's house in Arlington and his move back to Raynham. She also had a request buck for anyone whose business has freebies and giveaways. The Chamber's women's golf tournament planners are looking for items to fill their goodie bags for the gold tournament in September. If you have anything, you can bring it for Carol and she'll pass it along. Thanks!
