From the President
President Carol asked folks to please respond to her previous email about which committees they would like to join as we are having our next Family Fun Day meeting on Thursday, January 16th. We are going to need some extra help this year as the location of Family Fun Day has changed to Camp Riverside with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South. A big thank you from all of us to Jack Leddy for producing the Membership Booklets. 
 
Anniversary: 20 Years - Dan LeBrun. 5 Years- Katie MacDonald, 42- Years Bob Funke
 
We also had our scratch ticket raffle drawing.  And Joe Livingston was the big winner!

Last Week's Speaker
This week Christine's daughter Jillian was awarded a Rotary Scholarship. She is a student at Providence College studying pre-engineering and chemical engineering. 
 
Carol also presented her Mid-Year Review via PowerPoint. Her presentation included highlights of her year to date:
July - Jaydon Osborne Donation, KIVA as a guest speaker, School on Wheels as a guest speaker  and Katie & Rosie joined us from England
August- Dick Shafer attended reclassification, Interact Club joined us, Women at the Well, and Junior Achievement 
September- Steve Torres former solicitor joined us, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South joined us, and Charlene Jaret, District Governor Elect joined us
October- Triumph Head Start joined us, District Governer, Steve Albright joined us,  SEPAC joined us, and WIC joined us. Harold Goren passed. 
November- Nerds to Go was the guest speaker,  Motron Hospital joined us, first Family Fun Day planning meeting happened, 
December- Taunton Rotary Holiday Party, Taunton Opiate Task Forse joined us, and Head Start Holiday Party
Happy Bucks
Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?
 
  • Joe Livingston was happy that the Giants are back on track and sad for the Scouts and what they are going through as an organization.
  • Christine Kelly was happy to be here with her daughter. 
  • Julie had a happy buck for the New Year and the health of her family.
  • Joanne had a Happy New Year buck.
  • John had a happy buck to be able to provide services to Pride.
  • Darell had a buck for a happy New Year.
  • Dick had a happy buck for his recent Missouri trip.
  • Carol was happy for her mid-year report as president, grandaughter joining her as her guest, and for Jillian for receiving the scholarship. 
  • Cameron had a happy/sad buck for going to his first-ever Patriots, but then they happened to lose.
