Virtual Flyer

This week, Joe Mitchell shared a Rotary Foundation Minute regarding Rotary's unique 3-year funding cycle. It was a good reminder that we all should double-check we've registered for a My Rotary account. If you donate, any amount, through your own My Rotary account, it gets linked back to our club to promote our overall fundraising. Once you have your account you can donate using this link: https://my.rotary.org/en/donate

At our most recent meeting...

At our most recent club meeting, we enjoyed a presentation by club member John Danahey called "Protecting Yourself in Our Connected World." As we are all working more with technology these days, John offered a good overview along with specific tips for keeping your personal information and your businesses safe from online threats.

Virtual Happy/Sad Bucks

  • Our Venmo account is live! Donations, happy/sad bucks, and any Rotary payments can be made @Rotary-Taunton.

  • Jody had a happy buck for giving the laity address to the New England Conference of United Methodists. He also had a sad buck for a colleague who recently passed away and for his 98-year old aunt in California who has been diagnosed with Covid.

  • Zulmira had a happy buck for the recent donation of masks from the #MillionMaskChallenge to AHS. She also had a sad buck that due to enrollment, the WISE Adult Day Program is currently closed, though only temporarily.

  • Bob had a mixed buck that was sad that the recent RFP for Bristol's new Taunton campus led to accepting zero bids. But he was happy to share that for now, the deal is being finalized for the Taunton campus to operate out of Coyle-Cassidy High School with a year-to-year agreement with the diocese.

  • Will had $5 for each daughter, who are excited about being in the classroom again soon--even if it's starting at just 2 days a week.
