Last Week's Speaker

Our most recent meeting the club was very pleased to welcome Anne Bisson of the Taunton Opiate and Substance Use Task Force to lunch. The Taunton Opiate and Substance Use Task Force is a coalition of community leaders who are committed to overcoming the opiate and addiction issues we are facing. The group was founded in 2014 by Taunton Mayor Thomas C. Hoye in response to a surge in opiate overdoses in our community and nationwide. Happy Bucks

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?

Ed had a buck for two special visitors on Thanksgiving, who are past guests from the Taunton Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
Carol had a happy buck for her grandson Ryan who ran a half marathon last weekend!
Joe L. had a sad buck for his circumstance causing him to step down as Assistant District Governor with Rotary. He also had a happy buck that the Giants are in second place for the race for the #1 draft pick.
Mike Kennedy had a happy buck for going to visit his new grandson next week.
Justin had four happy dollars for being here and for visiting with everyone.
Will had 2 happy bucks. The first was for his daughter Sarah who was able to join us at the High School for lunch last week. The second was for her recent award for Rookie of the Year in Cross Country.
Dick Shafer had an info buck for the six businesses joining an "extended Lights On button" promo of deals in Downtown Taunton.
Dave T. had a buck on behalf of Ed, to stop talking about roasted vs. mashed potatoes.
Dan L. had 3 bucks. 1. Was a happy buck for Lights On. The second was for his grandson's basketball prowess at the Y. And the third was for a new membership proposal for Rebecca Raposs and how excited he is that she's going to serve as program director of TASC.
Mike had a happy buck that everyone in the family will be home for Christmas.
Ed had an addendum buck that Mike Tabak also got to visit with the visitors from England. He then added an extra happy dollar to Donna Trucchi for her work for the high school party.
