Joe and Carolrecently attended the District Annual Assembly. Thanks to them for representing us so well.
Next week's meeting will be the scholarship meeting. It is a great event each year and so all are encouraged to attend. Joe thanked the committee for their hard work organizing this meeting.
Ed Fowler had an update that the committee will be selecting candidates to send to England in the next few weeks. If you know of anyone who may be interested, pass along their contact information ASAP.
Rotary day update: This event is 6 weeks away! Rich has met with the Board of Health. Christine will be our ServeSafe person, but a backup would be nice if anyone else is certified. The banner is at LukaB signs being relettered. Rich is looking for yard signs to reletter as well if anyone has one from last year. Kit will be making raffle prize calls soon, but will take your items as soon as they are ready.

Ed was happy to have two grandkids coming for a visit.
Joe P. was happy that ProHome's Annual Meeting is next week.
Dick was happy to have brought the Taunton Arts Collaborative calendar to the meeting. He also shared shared an information buck that the Kentucky Derby winner will be Nyquist.
John B. was was glad that motorcycle season has begun. Also that he and Ryan were able to go golfing.
Joe L. was happy to have recently honored Attleboro Mayor Kevin Dumas with a scouting award.
Dave C. reported that raffle winner Joe Baptista's daughter will scratch all the tickets and Dave will report back any winnings as soon as he hears.
Joe M. was happy for last week's meeting attendance. He also shared a happy buck for the Celtics season. And one in thanks to Ed, Mike, and Jody for planning the scholarship day on May 12.
Dave Tipping presented our speaker this past week, Shannon Wroblewski, who works as adevelopment manager for the American Lung Association. Shannon educated the group on the danger's of lung cancer. More information on the work being done by the American Lung Association to defeat this disease can be found at: http://www.lungforce.org/.
This week's meeting will be Rev. Morrill Martin Honors Day where we will honor five of the top students from six local high schools for their academic achievements.
