Johnny B. had 10 mixed bucks. He was sorry for being absent recently. Happy for his beard which was grown in solidarity with President Joe. He has been very busy with buying a new office building, hiring and training new staff, and buying a fixer-upper in Falmouth. He also joined a band too.
Ryan H. had an" Offer Buck." He has two tickets to the upcoming Coaching for Change Gala (this Saturday) that he can't use. They are free to anyone who can attend. The event is at Stonehill College and is for a great cause! Talk to Ryan if you are interested.
Kit T. was happy for a fabulous ribbon cutting on AHS's building addition. She also had a reminder that the Spaghetti Supper is this week. Tickets are available for $10 and the event promises great fun, amazing food, and awesome raffles.
Dick S. was happy to have been on vacation recently. He also had info about the Downtown Taunton Foundation FallFest and the upcoming TRWA Fall Foliage Float on the Taunton River coming up on October 15.
Dan. L. had two bucks. The first was for our guests today. He coached Cory in floor hockey and soccer. His second buck is a sad buck for being away next week and unable to attend our meeting.
Rich V. had two bucks, in thanks for Lori and Cory joining us today.
President had a happy buck for John's beard. He also enjoyed visiting the Martignetti facility with Al Mendes recently. And he threw in a hopeful buck for a successful Boy Scout recruiting season now underway.
At our most recent meeting on September 14, Rich Volkmann was the Program Chair. He arranged for Lori & Cory Palazzi to present to us. Lori and Cory operate Cory's Cause, which was was founded in 2016 after Cory Palazzi suffered a Heroin Overdose in 2013 which left him permanently disabled. A 501-C3 non-profit organization, their goal goal is to help families by sharing Cory's story in the hopes of educating individuals and their families about drug addiction and providing support and resources for treatment. This was their 96th presentation, and we all thank them for sharing such a raw and personal story. Lori's mission is to have her son's hardship inspire change for others going through a hard time and they travel all around the country making this happen. At our upcoming meeting on Thursday, September 21, Will Mendonca is our Program Chair. Will has arranged for a presentation by Jeffrey Pelletier of Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts (JASM).
