Club News & Announcements
Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, September 12th at Stoneforge, led by President-Elect Bob. We welcomed Visiting Rotarians Lous Ricciardi and Rick Conti. Carol Sullivan shared Rotarians in the News with us.
President-Elect Bob Rezendes presented a check to Rick Conti who was the winner of our 50/50 raffle. Rick gets half of the $336.00 pot by drawing the Ace of Hearts.
Zulmira ran the special Cognac raffle donated by Lou which netted our Club $500.00 which will be donated to the Rotary International Foundation. Thank you Lou and Zulmira.
At our most recent meeting...
...members enjoyed the most recent presentation on coins and currency from club member Ed Fowler. Ed shared a variety of coins and bills, highlighting new topics we hadn't heard before. His presentation included:
Rare historical coins including some ancient examples, prized for their historical significance and rarity;
Error coins with minting mistakes, such as double strikes or misprints, which are valuable due to their uniqueness, and;
Limited edition releases, which are more modern but with limited mintage, and sought after by collectors.

AHS- Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser! 🍝✨ Enjoy a delicious meal, great company, and support a worthy cause.
Ed had a "Thank You" buck to Julia Mendonca, who has been working in Club Runner attendance with himself and Maureen to update attendance.
Mike C. had two bucks--for Co-ops upcoming gala, and for kids off to school.
Joe M. had a happy buck for being from Portugal on Sunday and had a great vacation.
Lou had four happy bucks because he was happy to be here.
Will had a happy buck to have Lou with us, and a sad buck to have missed last week, but we was able to do a make up with the Fall River Club where former District Governor Charlene said to say hello.
Carol Sullivan had five bucks-- happy for the URI kids moved in to her RI house for the school year; for Kirstin starting at Bridgewater State; for Amanda starting at BCC; and a sad buck that Kirstin didn't try out for volleyball because she's going to miss kids sports this year.
Rick had 5 happy bucks, because after being a Rotarian for 30+ years, and spending approximately $9,000 on 50/50 raffles, he finally pulled the ace of hearts.
Jody had a happy buck for his daughter, Heidi, who just got her driver's license.

Lou won this week's scratch ticket.
Rick's name was pulled AGAIN for the 50/50 raffle. But he had to leave early so we left it at $10.
