Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, August 1, at Stoneforge. We welcomed Susan Farley, George's guest.

 

Carol passed around news articles as well as a flyer for Raynham Community Celebration. 
 

Reminders:

• Our Cognac raffle is live. Zulmira is handling selling tickets, so please reach out to her. The raffle will run until all 50 tickets are sold, and then we will pull a winner. 
• There will be a Board Meeting on August 13th. Board members are expected to attend and any member is invited to attend if they wish to.  
• Backpack project update:  We will be packing the 85 backpacks on August 8, at the Raynham Flea immediately following our regular lunch meeting. All are invited to join. Thanks to Carol for all her work on this service project!

...we welcomed Heather Rios, City of Taunton Grants Manager as our guest speaker. Heather is from Taunton, previously worked at the Y, and now manages grants for the city, which is a role that she loves. She is part of the Office of Economic and Community Development and shared some of the climate change, technology accessibility, and historic building projects she is working on. She also spoke about work going on in Whittenton to revitalize and build up that neighborhood, including a fun Family Day on August 4th. Heather shared that she is open to working with any group and offered assistance on projects they may have.
