Club News & Announcements

Our most recent club meeting was held on January 8, and led by President Bob. Bob hoped everyone enjoyed a nice holiday and was glad to be back for the second half of our Rotary year.

We welcomed two guests, Joe's brother-in-law, Victor and Carol Sullivan's daughter Becky.

Carol Sullivan shared Rotary in the News with everyone.

A reminder that we have a new website address — tauntonrotary.org — and encourage everyone to check it out for the latest news and updates.

At Our Most Recent Meeting...

...President Bob gave his Mid-Year Review. President Bob shared a mid-year report highlighting a strong and productive first half of the Rotary year. Members enjoyed a solid lineup of guest speakers, along with hands-on service projects including the backpacks initiative, mitten drive, and several successful holiday events that supported our community.

So far this year, the club has also introduced a new membership tier, designed to make Rotary more accessible and flexible, and the club is now easier than ever to find online with our new web address: TauntonRotary.org.

Looking ahead, the second half of the year promises to be just as busy, with planning underway for:
  • Family Fun Day
  • The Million Dollar Meal
  • Annual Interact Dinner
  • Annual Awards Night
Thank you to President Bob for guiding a strong start to the year!

  • Carol was happy to have Becky with us, wished everyone a Happy New Year, and warmly welcomed our guest.
  • Sarah gave a Happy Buck for the AFC program moving to a new location—and for the pleasant surprise of finding it already being painted.
  • Jody shared Sad Bucks for Dave St. Yves, but also Happy Bucks for being sworn in to the Planning Board on Monday, with today marking the first meeting.
  • Ed was happy that Bob is halfway through his year, and thankful for Mike and Carol’s help delivering all the mittens. He also shared three Sad Bucks for Dave St. Yves, a great person and lifelong friend.
