A reminder that on August 31st, we'll enjoy a Million Dollar Meal for our evening meeting at Maureen Cody's house. Our District Governor will be attending. This is a potluck event and Maureen is coordinating. Please reply to her message about what you can bring.
In Rotary news, our district is supporting a fundraiser for 9 Hawaiian Rotary clubs. A donation from our club will be discussed at the next Board meeting.
For a Foundation Minute, Joe had the honor of awarding a Paul Harris +1 to Will Mendonca. Thanks for all you do for Rotary, Will, and for representing our club so well. Congratulations!
This week:
We'll be joining the TACC's noontime networking at the Y.
At our most recent meeting...
President Joe led a Club Assembly-- an open discussion about goals for the year and an opportunity for input from members. Collecting input from members will be a key objective in the coming year. Joe plans to contact each Rotarian to get feedback about the club. All are encouraged to spend a few minutes thinking about any suggestions or ideas for our club, and get ready for a call from Joe.
Also, a note from Carol Sullivan:
"While visiting Meghan, at St Albans farmers market last Sunday I stopped by the St. Albans Rotary Club table. Pictured with me are Karyn Rocheleau and Norm Choiviere. Their club is pretty much equal in size as ours. This year they’re celebrating their 100th Anniversary.
The Rubber duck sale and raffle is one we should look into!"
Dick Shafer had a happy buck that the chairs he fundraised for during his year as Rotary President are still in use at community events.
Dave T. had a happy buck for for Will's Paul Harris +1.
Will had a thank you buck for the recognition. Extra thanks to Dick Shafer, his sponsor and to Phil Robertson's leadership in Foundation work.
Bob Hunt had 5 happy bucks for our guests, especially Claire Fowler, and his and Barbara's 59th wedding anniversary next week.
Ed was happy that Claire is finishing some treatment this week and was extra happy she was able to join us for lunch.
Joe had a sad buck for everyone having to listen to his Club Assembly.
Mike had a buck for Helen, Claire, and Ed and Claire's daughters. He also had a buck for recently enjoying the Grand Illumination on Martha's Vineyard. While he was there, he saw Jamie Crossman who said to throw in a buck from her.
