Our most recent meeting was held on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Pilgrim Church. President Joe Livingston ran the meeting which was our annual Million Dollar Meal.

At our most recent meeting we celebrated our annual Million Dollar Meal! Program Chair and Foundation Chair Joe Mitchell explained the Million Dollar Meal concept and gave a Rotary International Foundation update. The Rotary Foundation transforms financial gifts into service projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. During the past 100 years, the Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.
Thanks to everyone who made it possible: Pilgrim Church for hosting us; Head Chefs Bob and Barbara Hunt who made a delicious homemade chowder; everyone who brought drinks and dessert; and Lou for the homemade cupcakes!
Thanks to these efforts, we can donate our weekly meal cost of $750 to the Rotary International Foundation.
Also, a goal for more participation in the Club and for Rotarians to feel more connected to the greater work of Rotary International and the Foundation is to activate your own My Rotary page. You can do this at https://my.rotary.org/en. This becomes your own personal connection to Rotary International. It links to your club. It tracks your charitable giving. There is a ton of information on there. We are trying to get 80% of our club to have an account and we are currently at something like 17%.

Joe Mitchell had a happy buck for a great Interact meeting last week. He also had a happy buck for being today's program chair.
Rich had a buck for being at the meeting today.
Will had a buck for Bob Hunt's hard work. A buck for seeing Kit recently, who says "hi." He had a buck for the great Interact meeting last week. And a buck in honor of Phil Robertson, who ran this meeting for years but passed away just about a year ago.
Dave T. had a sad buck because it was 2 years ago today that he lost his mom to cancer. But he had very happy bucks to hear that Harry, Joanne, Dick, and himself, are all cancer free. Congrats to you all!
Dick had a happy buck that after recently completing 40 treatments for prostate cancer, his recent follow up showed no cancer. Great news!
Darrell had a happy buck for his daughter who is loving her semester in Copenhagen.
Joe L. was happy for the Interact meeting. He had a remembrance buck for Phil. And he had a happy buck for any day that he is his Scout uniform.
