 President's Announcements

At our June 15th meeting, President Carol led our final Pancake and Family Fun Day Planning Meeting. Then, on Saturday June 17th, we hosted the event. A huge thank you to all the Rotarians who made this event possible, especially President Carol and the Committee Chairs! We will have details and totals at a future meeting, but it was clear that everyone who attended had a great time.

Please note, there will be NO MEETING on July 6th.

For the July 20th meeting, Joe Livingston has invited the club to visit camp in the evening and enjoy a cookout.

Finally, please be in touch with Ed Fowler if you would like to spend a day with the young ladies visiting from Taunton, England. The schedule is on the left hand side of the Rotary website's homepage, under "Home Page Download Files." This will be updated, so keep checking back!

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?

  • Linda Q. had a sad buck for having to leave early today. She also had an information buck for a Bethany House event to be held this week focused on a virtual dementia tour. Finally she had two happy bucks for Father's day and all the fathers in the room.
  • Joe M. was happy that the site visit at the High school happened, and went well. He had three more happy bucks, one each for Carol, Rich, and Dave and all of their hard work.
  • Johnny B. had two happy bucks. One was in thanks for everyone's upcoming participation in Pancake and Family Fun Day. The second was a "Wish me good luck" buck for an upcoming audition.
  • Joe L. was happy to have recently been at National Camp School. He also had a sad buck for some resurgences of cancer among his staff. Finally, a hopeful buck for the weather to hold out on Saturday.
  • Kit had a very happy buck that she is all set with baskets. She had a total of 30 for the raffle. Anyone planning on adding a basket, buy tickets instead!
