At our most recent meeting...
...we did not have a speaker. But at 5 p.m. Rotarians, members of the Interact Club, and helpful volunteers met at the Bristol Taunton Center to stuff the backpacks for our latest service project. Thanks to all for the donations, to the volunteers, and to Carol for leading this effort!

Happy/Sad Bucks
Zulmira had three sad bucks for missing a few meetings and for having to move her son from one Boston apartment to another on September 1st.
Joe was happy to have recently participated in TASC mock interviews and mentioned how much he enjoyed it. He also had a happy buck for our new DG, who use knows well from their time together in his former club.
Ed had a buck in honor of the Middleboro Little League team. He had a happy buck for recently adding a four dollar bill to his collection. And a great news buck that Claire's recent scan was "the best news since this whole process began."
Prez Bob had a happy buck for the start of the second academic year at the Bristol Taunton Center, where enrollment is up 14%. He had a sad buck for having to miss the mock interviews this year, but he also enjoys doing that.
Harry snuck in some happy bucks for Claire.
Dan had a great story about Jayden, who, in order to qualify for the next cycle in his karate training, needed to run 3 miles in 30 minutes or less. He had been around 32 minutes when he practiced, but did it, last Friday, in 29:03 and is on to practice for a black belt.
