President-Elect Joe Mitchell ran our most recent meeting held at Stoneforge. We were pleased to welcome Visiting Rotarian Rick Conti.
We were pleased to welcome two new members to the club. Jim Howland and Brett Marcotte were celebrated with their pinning ceremonies. We look forward to their classification talks and welcoming them to Rotary.
Joe shared that he attended the District Conference on behalf of the club. He thought it was informative and well done, and particularly enjoyed the inspirational speaker from Ukraine.
Joe also shared a Rotary Foundation Minute.
This is a reminder to sign up for a MyRotary account so that club activities, goals, fundraising, and more can all be seamlessly linked together and help our club grow.
Please consider reaching out to your networks for sponsorships. There are a variety of levels for all business sizes. It's a great way to build brand awareness and show support for an event that sees hundreds of local families. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Dave.
At our most recent meeting...
...we were pleased to welcome April Cabrera Funches as our guest speaker. April shared information on two different topics: her work in community affairs for the DA's office and her work as a member of the Taunton Diversity Network. There are a lot of great events coming up for both organizations, which she detailed for us, and invited those present to participate. Thanks to April for joining us for lunch and for sharing about the excellent work she does in the community.
President-Elect Joe Mitchell, Program Chair Zulmira, Guest Speaker April Cabrera Funches.
Zulmira was happy for two inductees, sad to miss some April meetings, and happy to have recently celebrated her dad's 96th birthday.
Dave C. put in a buck as a plug for the PRIDE benefit concert, on May 11. He is able to do so because he stopped by to get the Rotary stuff they store for us. Also, we need more sponsors for Family Fun Day!
Debbie was sad that her aunt and uncle passed within 3 hours of each other over the weekend, but happy that Jim is being inducted today.
Dave T. had a happy buck for George's birthday, and a sad buck that he is older by 1 year.
George had a happy buck for Dave's birthday and another happy buck that he's younger.
John D. had a happy buck for his dad's 87th birthday, a sad buck because he's back in the hospital, and a happy buck that even though it is not the most fun rollercoaster ride, he's happy that the ride is still going. He added a buck for his wife who is back home after a week!
Joe had five bucks for the recent District Conference, for the work of President Bob, sad for the Bruins, happy for the Celtics, and happy to be going to the Red Sox tonight.
