At our most recent meeting...
...we heard about the origins of the Million Dollar Meal as well as about the work of the Rotary Foundation throughout the world, thanks to Foundation Chair Joe Mitchell.
Everyone is encouraged to set up their account on My Rotary and consider a contribution to be a part of the work the Foundation does around the world and in times of crisis.
Happy/Sad Bucks
Julie had a happy buck for her son, who got his driver's license on Sunday.
Joe M. had a sad buck for the Celtics (Game 5) and a happy buck for leading today's program.
John D. was happy to have recently participated in a veterans program in Maryland, teaching veterans how to contract with federal government.
Dick was happy for a recent trip to North Carolina and then Ohio.
Dave was happy to be celebrating his youngest son's 8th birthday and sad that tomorrow to celebrate they are going to Great Wolf Lodge.
Carol had two happy bucks for Bob and Barbara Hunt, and a happy buck for her grandson being recognized at Annual Town Meeting for his Eagle Scout Project and finishing his HVAC training at the top of his class. She added an undecided buck for her granddaughter winning two trophies at sophomore dance which involved doing "The Worm."
Shavon was happy because it's beautiful outside.
Dan had a happy buck for the Bruins/Hurricanes series where Dan is cheering for Bruins and his grandson for the Hurricanes--someone will be happy with the outcome!
