Our most recent meeting was held at Stoneforge and was run by President Joe. We were pleased to welcome Visiting Rotarian John Beauchaine!
This week's meeting will be at Pilgrim Church. It will be a chowder Million Dollar Meal thanks to Bob and Barbara Hunt and a great way to learn about Million Dollar Meals and the Rotary Foundation. We're looking for desserts, and Carol Sullivan is coordinating, so please let her know if you can bring something.
Board members met with members of Kiwanis and a joint meeting is in the works. Stay tuned for details. Speaking of upcoming items for your calendar...

Rotary in the News
Carol Sullivan shared news articles about Rotarians and Rotary-related business. We learned about Homes for Our Troops 20th anniversary and that Taunton High Principal Scott Holcomb is a finalist for Superintendent of Schools in Swansea.
Norm shared about his professional background, an injury that led to his retirement earlier than expected, and finding the Matthew Mission as an outlook for his passion for helping others.
Since its founding, the food pantry has grown to give out more than 2,000 bags of food annually. They have a team of dedicated volunteers and serve a critical need in our community.

Johnny B "happy to be here" bucks, and was glad to hear that Family Fun Day is still growing and doing well.
Carol Sullivan had 3 happy bucks: for Johnny B visiting, for Kirstin's senior night for basketball, and for high school sports having one more season to go: softball.
Will had a happy buck for his daughter Sarah making All-Scholastic for Cross Country. She also had her last winter track meet recently and had was really pleaser with her time. Will added a sad buck that he'll miss next week as he will be travelling with the family for February vacation.
Michael had an apology buck for missing the board meeting, and added a happy buck to be leaving to visit son in California.
Dave C. was happy to see Johnny B, sad that his son's hockey team lost their first regular season game this past Saturday, but happy that his son still had a hat trick in the game and is up to 41 goals on the season.
Dan was happy for Johnny B and wished him good luck in his upcoming term as president of the Falmouth Club. He added a happy buck that his grandson is still having fun and finding success with basketball and soccer.
Joe was happy for the recent board meting and happy for the Celtics as they go into the All-Star break.
Ed had a Happy Buck to have recently seen the Harlem Globetrotters with his grandkids. He was sad that the trip meant he had to deal with the George Washington bridge. He was also happy to have been to his brothers Superbowl party, but sad that while he was there he learned about how much oil is used to ship goods around Africa to avoid terrorists attacking ships in the Middle East.

Shafe did not win the 50/50 raffle. The pot stands at $118.
