President Carol Sullivan gave an update on the Annual Beer and Wine Tasting event. Quality Beverage is undergoing a major renovation, but Christine K. has graciously offered Occassions as a site for the event. With the location set, we just need to get together on the date. Carol will keep the club updated as plans are finalized.
Rich Volkman shared a proof of the scratch ticket for this year's raffle fundraiser. The goal is to sell all 400 tickets before we pull the winner, and so they have been mocked up without a date. This way, we can also use the same design if we are able to do two scratch ticket fundraisers this year. The club approved the ticket, and if anyone asks about the drawing date, just let them know it will be "as soon as all 400 are sold."
President Carol has been in touch with Debbie Logan at Taunton High School about this year's Interact Club. She has a meeting set for September 15 to gauge interest, and is optimistic that she'll have another great group for this school year.
Our speaker for the 9/15 meeting is the Assistant Governor. She will be arriving at Stoneforge at 11 a.m. to greet board members ahead of the meeting. Please come early to help welcome her if you are able.
President Carol is looking to start a Fundraising Committee. Joanne has offered to be a part of this committee--thanks Joanne! If others have interest please reach out to Carol for more information. This is important work for the club and if you could help out it would be most appreciated.
Finally, Carol shared thank you notes from the Y for the backpacks, AHS for the donation, and an invitation to the AHS annual meeting that all are invited to.

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?
Rick C. was sad because he won't be here next week. He had a second buck because the reason is happy: he is giving a presentation in Boca Raton for the American Society of Appraisers' 2016 International Appraisers Conference.
Joanne had a happy buck for celebrating her 20th anniversary--congrats!
Christine had a couple of sad bucks for missing the last two weeks, a very happy buck for the success of President Carol's backpack initiative, and a happy buck for her daughter who had her first varsity soccer game.
Carol Souza has a sad buck for being away in Florida next week.

In the previous rating, the Foundation had received 97 points.
At the September 8th meeting, our speaker was unable to join us, but Michael Duff, the recently-hired executive director of Pro Home, stepped in and gave an impromptu presentation for the club. Mr. Duff explained about what Pro Home's mission is and what he hopes to accomplish during his tenure. He also shared a bit about his background and interests. We appreciate him stepping in as our speaker on short notice and are glad to get to know him better!
For this week's meeting Assistant Governor Charlene J. Jarest will be visiting the club for a presentation titled, “Membership Development - Makes for a Vibrant Club!” All are encouraged to attend.
