*Sending this newsletter early with final instructions for Family Fun Day! See below for details*

Our most recent club meeting was held on June 4 at Stoneforge and led by President Bob Rezendes. We were pleased to welcome Sarah's guest, Kate Murphy, the HR Director for P.R.I.D.E., and we wished a happy birthday and happy Rotary anniversary to those celebrating in June.

The next board meeting is Tuesday, June 9, at 5:15 on Zoom.

Reminders:
  • Together with the Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters, we will have a table at the Taunton River Festival on June 14. We need volunteers at the table, so if you are free and able, let Bob know.
  • Our end-of-year celebration is confirmed for Thursday, June 26 at Ward 5.

Family Fun Day, June 6!
Please help spread the word.

Happy & Sad Bucks

  • Carol Sousa had a happy buck for the recent fellowship meeting and the great time had by all.
  • John shared a happy buck for the excellent care he continues to receive through the VA healthcare system. He also shared two sad bucks in remembrance of two soldiers he knew who were killed in action 22 years ago this week, noting that “a soldier never dies until they are forgotten” and they will not be forgotten.
  • Jody contributed six happy/sad bucks. He recognized June 6 as Dave, Katie, and his daughter’s birthday. He is also celebrating his wedding anniversary. He shared a sad buck for missing Family Fun Day while he will be attending a conference in Manchester, but a happy buck for missing next week’s meeting to attend his 50th college reunion at Bates College in Lewiston, ME.
  • Sarah was happy to have attended the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City last weekend, checking a softball bucket-list trip off her list. She was also happy to have Kate as her guest at the meeting.
  • Carol Sullivan shared a happy buck after speaking with fifth and sixth graders about what life was like when she was their age. She recalled concert tickets costing 85 cents, $3 for major acts, and that you could see Elvis for just $1.50.
  • Zulmira shared two happy bucks for Dave and Katie’s birthdays and thanked Dave for all of his hard work. She also shared a sad buck for missing Family Fun Day due to hosting her son’s wedding shower and was happy to report that her 99-year-old father’s pacemaker replacement went smoothly.
  • Mike C. had two bucks because he enjoyed golfing with Zulmira last week and is looking forward to golfing with Kris this week.
  • Dave C. had happy bucks for celebrating 21 years of marriage this week. 🎉
