President Joe encouraged sales of the scratch ticket fundraiser. Please pick up your tickets at the Sergeant's table.

The Rotary Fun Day is confirmed for June 11, 2016 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Taunton High School. There will be short weekly meetings immediately following the regular luncheon to discuss developments. Joe will be attending the District Conference on April 8-10.

Ed Fowler discussed the Youth Exchange trip to Taunton England this Summer. We are looking for two young people to travel to England as ambassadors of our club. See Ed for further details.

George Mendros introduced visitors from Bristol County Savings Bank.

John B. is looking for volunteers for Rotary Fun Day. John also thanked Interact and FB Insure for their volunteers who have already signed up.

Bring a guest to a Rotary meeting!! A reminder, members are allowed to bring three "free" prospective members as guests to meetings.

Half of Bristol County Savings Bank visited the club as guests of George Mendros. We hope the bank managed to stay open without any staff during lunch.

UNESCO-IHE scholarship applications now available

The Rotary Foundation and UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education are offering up to 10 scholarships for graduate study at UNESCO-IHE's Delft campus in the Netherlands. The aim is to increase the number of trained professionals who can devise, plan, and implement water and sanitation solutions in developing areas. The scholarships also are designed to promote long-term relationships between Rotary members and skilled water and sanitation professionals.

Scholars will receive a Master of Science degree in urban water and sanitation, water management, or water science and engineering. The application deadline is 15 June.

George Mendros introduced Jesse Brown, a Marine Corps veteran from 95-99. Jesse has started Heidrea for Heroes, an organization which offers a helping hand for our deserving veterans. Serving veterans throughout Southeastern Mass, they do qualifying home repairs, wheelchair ramps, and many other great projects. For more information please visit www.heidrea4heroes.org.

Jesse received a Rotary mug from George and Joe.
