Last Week's Speaker
At our most recent meeting, we had a Pancake and Family Fun Day Planning meeting. Please make sure if you are donating money or items for a raffle they get to Zulmira. And if you can volunteer on the 15th, be sure that Johnny B has you on his schedule. Also, promo materials are contained in this email. Please download, share, or post somewhere if you have an office where people will see it. You can also share on Facebook @rotarycluboftaunton.

Next week, our speaker will be Colleen Wellman, Program Director for Taunton Area Early Intervention Program. Colleen began her career with EI as an intern and was hired in 1983 as an early childhood educator, after receiving her degree in Psychology from Stonehill College. Colleen initially worked as a service coordinator and ran toddler groups for many years. She was also certified in the Nursing Child Assessment for Feeding. Colleen then became a team leader in 1993 and the Assistant Director in 1997. She has overseen a variety of systems including SCERTS Program, Literacy Program, Classroom Coordination, Consultant Coordination, Resources, Transition, and Quarterly Visit Coordination, as well as the staff that coordinate those systems. Colleen is active on the Department of Public Health’s Standards committee, as well as the Transition Committee.
Happy Bucks
Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?

  • Dick had a happy buck for a fun trip to Madrid. He also had an announcement for the upcoming Taunton River Festival on June 9th. If anyone has a truck and can help transport chairs, talk to Dick.
  • Jody had a happy buck for his daughter, Heidi, who will be starting at the Boston University School of Theology this fall.
  • John D. was happy that his short was working (following an ask for a Nerds To Nerd River Festival sponsorship) and a happy buck for his son's Leddy preschool graduation upcoming.
  • Ed had a "thank you" buck to Jody and Carol for their work on Morrill Martin Honors Day. He also reported that the woman who fainted is OK. And he added another happy buck for this 7th grandchild, Jameson Edward, who arrived recently.
  • Carol had a happy buck for her grandson's graduation from BP.
  • Dan had a happy buck for his second grandchild who is on the way.
  • Cameron had a buck for his brother who will begin interning with him at his firm on Monday.
  • Joe L. was happy that he had a good result in his recent Spartan race. His next race is in August. He also had a happy buck for his brother, Josh, who was ordained as a deacon and is on track to become a priest next year. Joe also thanked Ed, Carol, and Jody for Morrill Martin Honors Day. And finally, said something about the Yankees I didn't catch.
  • Julie had a celebratory buck for his company's 5 year anniversary and for her eldest child graduating from Taunton High this past weekend!
