President Joe is visiting the Interact Club after our February 1 meeting and will be helping with their plastic bag weaving project.
There is a Mid-Year/Pre-PETS meeting on Saturday, February 10 for anyone who is interested in learning more about the higher offices in Rotary. If you want to go, you have to register by 2/6 (today). Registration can be done online here.
At our most recent meeting, Ryan Hazel was the Program Chair. Ryan invited Marquise Taylor back to update the club on the success of Coaching for Change, since his last visit.
With strong local support and dedicated staff and board, Coaching for Change has grown from 40 students to 240 in the past year. They have recruited college students who want to major in education to serve as mentors in this program, believing that being close in age is a strong connection for both mentor and mentee. The Coaching for Change philosophy revolves around the three main principles of fun, learning, and building relationships. They have received national attention this past year, and continue to generate interest and results with their students! Marquise's enthusiasm is evident and it's so great to hear about the strong growth this program has seen. We look forward to watching them continue to grow and hope to welcome them again to a future Rotary meeting!

Phil had a sad buck to learn through the District Newsletter than Norman Saute, a wonderful Rotarian and person, passed away at age 91 on January 10. He was a 50+ year Rotarian and will be missed.
Dan LeBrun happy for Cheyenne joining us at the meeting today. He was also happy to have made the connection between Cheyenne's bridge to stem employment program and our efforts at Family Fun Day. He was also happy for Roman who is doing a great job as he transitions to the new director of the Taunton Y.
Roman had two happy bucks for being here today. He is glad to be part of the team.
Carol Sullivan was happy for all of our guests. And Happy to see Victor at the meeting!
Prez Joe was happy to see Victor. He was happy to welcome Roman. And also happy to be traveling to Albany to record his first demo after taking voice acting classes for the past few months. Good luck, Joe!
