Our most recent club meeting was held on November 6, and we were led by Past President George Mendros.
We’d like to take a moment to send our best wishes to two of our club members who have been in the hospital recently: Bob Rezendes and Carol Sullivan. Ed shared a message from President Bob and Zulmira shared an update on Carol. Please keep them in your thoughts as they recover. We can't wait to see them at a meeting soon!
Our Holiday Luncheon at Taunton High will take place on the first Thursday in December. A sign-up sheet was being passed around for both guests and attendees so that Ed can place the food order—please be sure to add your name or reach to Ed if you are unable to make a regular meeting but want to attend on 12/4.

At Our Most Recent Meeting...
...we welcomed Shannon Savoy, Bob’s administrative assistant at BCC, and Patricia Cordeiro who recently joined together to offer Mental Health First Aid and CPR training.
They shared that 56% of Taunton residents identify mental health as a top community issue, and their program teaches participants how to assess situations and bridge the gap to help others.
The training they offer covers:
Risk factors and warning signs
Depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts
A five-step action plan for helping someone in need
The certification is nationally recognized and valid for three years. Courses include pre-work, six hours of instruction, and a short post-class assignment. Sessions can be completed in one full day or over two days.
Cost: $150 per person on Zoom or $179 in person (includes lunch). A 10% discount is available through the end of the year, along with group rates. They can come to you, or you can come to them, and they are happy to work with any potential client to make the training a valuable as possible.

Ed had $5 bucks this week. Happy/Sad for Carol and Bob's trip to the hospital but good recoveries since. He also had proud “grandfather bucks” — his granddaughter’s girls’ tennis team won the state title.
Shannon was sad to hear about Bob, but happy she was able to video chat with him. He looked good and was released from the hospital last night. He’ll find out Monday when he can return to work.
Dave had happy bucks for Ethan scoring his first hat trick of the season last weekend; a hockey tournament coming up on the cape but he can stay at the new Margaritaville; and very happy that John D. will be leading our efforts to sell our own goods at Family Fun Day this year. Thanks, John!
John D. added a sad buck for realizing he should have known better than to volunteer, but still happy to help.
Zulmira had a sad buck for Carol, and both sad and happy bucks for Bob. Also happy for the AHS wine tasting tonight.
Jody had a happy buck to have won a seat on the Planning board.
Sarah had a buck looking ahead to the P.R.I.D.E. ribbon cutting at 120 Ingell Street on the 18th at 1 p.m.
