Our most recent club meeting was held on January 22, and led by President Bob.
This week, we were delighted to welcome Barbara (“the mitten lady”) and her husband John as guests. Barbara shared that she donated an incredible 1,030 pairs of mittens this year, and one way we can support her work is by donating 4-ply yarn.
Please note: This week's meeting is our evening social meeting, Thursday at 5:30 pm at The Pearl. The address is 76 Weir St, Taunton.
District Governor Nicole Brien has begun organizing pop-up socials, with the next one taking place in Attleboro at BJ’s Brewhouse on the 27th at 6:00 PM.
There is also the District's Mid-Year Meeting / PRE-PELS coming up on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at New England Institute of Technology, 1 New England Tech Boulevard, East Greenwich, RI 02818, 8:00 AM–12:30 PM. This meeting is open to everyone, and more information was sent via email, or we can get it to if you are interested in going!

At Our Most Recent Meeting...
...we welcomed guest speaker Cindy Conquest from Easterseals, who shared an overview of their equine-assisted services and the work being done at The Bridge Center in Bridgewater. The Bridge Center, which opened in March 2023, provides inclusive recreational and therapeutic programming designed to support individuals of all abilities through movement, connection, and community. Cindy highlighted how equine-assisted services play a unique role in building confidence, emotional regulation, and physical strength in a supportive, adaptive environment.
Cindy also shared that The Bridge Center is still growing and continues to welcome new clients. As the program expands, Easterseals is always looking for volunteers to support their equine-assisted services and help make these opportunities accessible to more individuals and families in the community. Zulmira had a buck to share that this week marked one year since Dan’s passing. She expressed pride in Linda for her strength and happiness for today’s speaker.
Dick gave an info buck with the January/February schedule of events for the TRWA.
Sarah had a Happy Buck to be in Aruba as of Saturday.
Dave C. had a mixed feelings buck because he had a hockey tournament in New Hampshire this weekend but would have been driving home Sunday at 6:00 PM.!
Carol Souza had a sad buck for missing Dan at the Christmas party, plus an extra buck.
Carol Sullivan had five happy bucks, mostly for clearing her IOUs. She also shared a sad buck—her granddaughter Kirstin needed a new radiator, got it replaced, and then was involved in a minor accident and now needs another one.
George had a Happy Buck for retiring on March 2!
Ed shared a happy buck for Barbara and John and provided updates from the recent auction he was a part of for Taunton bank proofs notes, and that he has his eye on another Taunton note at an upcoming auction.

Dick won the scratch ticket this week.
Ed did not win the 50/50 raffle. The pot stands at $224. ______________________________
