President Dan has partnered our club with the Million Mask Challenge, which is donating PPE throughout New England. He will be picking up our share of the challenge in Providence on October 7th, and we are encouraged to distribute them to those in need, with a particular focus on schools.
Immediately following the meeting, the Board of Directors approved making a $100 donation to support Rotary clubs in Louisiana affected by recent hurricanes.
Congratulations are due to Beth Teixeira-Ferraro who was recently sworn in as a judge as well as condolences for the recent passing of her mom.

At our most recent meeting, club members enjoyed classification talks from two of our newest members.
Krystal Hilton is the Chief Nursing Officer at Morton Hospital as well as a Florence Nightingale Award winner. She is proud of Morton's response to the challenges presented by COVID-19 as well as the hospital's commitment to community engagement. She is married with two daughters, and enjoys her kids' sports, kayaking, and her job--particularly working with students in the internship program. Fun fact: her mom is also a nurse at Morton!
Melissa Brailsford is Head of Section for Respiratory Care at Morton Hospital. The new, state-of-the-art sleep lap is one thing that she is particularly proud of and is the main focus of her job at the moment. She is also married with two kids, a daughter, and a son. She volunteers as a Girl Scout leader, and in her spare time enjoys reading books and playing pinball!
