Club News & Announcements

Welcome to a New Rotary Year!
As we start Bob’s presidential year, first we send thanks to George for his year and a successful Rotary awards night at Ward 5!

Mark your calendar: our District Governor will be visiting on August 21, and she’s shared a few things to reflect on ahead of her visit, which we will attach to the newsletter ahead of her visit.

We’ve received a few thank-you notes from our recent charitable giving, and Carol Sullivan shared Rotary in the News

We had two pieces of official business to wrap up George's year. The first was awarding scholarships to Danielle Croteau (left) and Ava Pagliuca (right). They were able to join us for lunch to receive their scholarships and our club's congratulations!

Also, we had some official bling—certificates and pins—for Carol and Zulmira. Congratulations on your recent Paul Harris awards!

We’re gearing up to support the annual backpack donation project. We will be collecting donations and then packing them up at our Backpack Packing Party on August 14 (probably at the Raynham Flea, but stay tuned as we finalize the details).

Let’s make it a strong start to a meaningful year!

📅 Upcoming Events:

  • Save the Date: August 14, 2025; Backpack Packing Party
  • August 21, District Governor Visit

At Our Most Recent Meeting...

Our most recent meeting was held on July 10, 2025, and we were pleased to hear from Kris Silva. As our newest member of the club, Kris presented her Classification talk, sharing about herself and her work at the Taunton Area Chamber of Commerce.

It was great to get to know her better, and we are so pleased to have her as a member of our club. Welcome, Kris!

Happy & Sad Bucks

  • Ed had Happy bucks for Zulmira and Carol for their Paul Harris awards; a Buck for George; Buck for Bob; a Buck for softball still going strong; and a Buck for Carol, who found an error bill in her wallet—Ed got it graded for her.
  • Zulmira had a Happy and thankful buck to George and the club for the nomination for the Paul Harris award.
  • Carol had 5 happy bucks for the wonderful dinner; the big surprise of the Paul Harris award; and congratulations to the scholarship recipients.
  • Sarah had two happy bucks: she and her guest enjoyed the dinner and PRIDE is very appreciative of the donations; and she had a good week in Maine last week for the 4th.
  • George had a buck in thanks to everyone for a great year as president.
