At our most recent meeting Past President Dan led our meeting.
The rescheduled "Family Feud-style" fundraiser at the Elks took place, and while Rotary was undefeated going into the final 3, we graciously bowed out to not extend the event longer than seemed reasonable. Congrats to them and thanks for participating!
Our 100th Celebration is now less than a month away!
The event is October 28th at the Holiday Inn.
If anyone has Rotary memorabilia to display, please let Dan know.
And thanks to our latest sponsor: Community Counseling of Bristol Country, whose $1,000 contribution officially puts us at the goal of $50,000!
We were able to sing Happy Birthday to Johnny B. (belatedly).
And at the end of the meeting, Dick Shafer pulled the Ace of Hearts! He splits $64 with the club. Congrats, Dick!
At our most recent meeting...
...we welcomed Alisha Monteiro, Practice Manager at Health Express in Raynham.
Thanks to Alisha and to learn more about the practice you can visit http://www.healthexpressraynham.com/.
Happy/Sad Bucks
Dick Shafer had a buck that was sad because he had to say goodbye to his 18-year old car, but also happy because he has a new-to-him Subaru Forrester and a great experience with Craig Martin at Mastria Subaru.
Harry had a happy buck for Will who had a great welcome to Bristol County Savings Bank in the Taunton Daily Gazette!
Carol Souza had a happy buck because her plans now allow her to be able to attend Rotary's 100th anniversary dinner.
Johnny B. had 5 bucks. He thanked Dan for all his work on the 100th, was sad for not having been at a meeting in a while, sad that his former band is no more, but happy that his new band "Get the Funk Out" has their first gig coming up this month in New Bedford.
Shavon had a happy buck for the beautiful weather and a second happy buck for her cousin, Wayne Seldon, who recently signed an NBA contract with the New York Knicks.
Our speaker, Alisha, had a happy buck for her family's recent trip to Niagara Falls which was a bucket list item.
Ed had 10 amazing bucks. He thanked Alisha and all those are Health Care Raynham who had a great experience with when he tested positive for COVID last year. And he had a Claire Report that Claire has no active cancer in her system! They were the happiest couple on the highway as they drove back from Dana Farber last week. And we continue to cheer them on and wish them nothing but the best! Hooray!
