We wished our Rotary team luck as this was our last meeting before they embarked on the "Family Feud-style" fundraiser at the Elks.
We also "passed the hat" a final time in support of the Back to School Backpack service project. Thanks to Carol for taking this on and to everyone who had donated so that we can give out 75 backpacks, filled with supplies, to area youth.
At our most recent meeting...
...we tested our Rotary knowledge with a little trivia. Thanks to Prez. Bob for pulling it together. It was a fun way to learn about both our club and Rotary International. And Jody won with 8 correct answers!
We are now accepting funds using Venmo. Our account is @Rotary-Taunton, but the visible name shows up as “Rotary Taunton Rotary Taunton.”
Harry had 2 bucks. The first was for fielding a Family Feud team. And the second was in hopes that they win!
Carol Souza had two bucks to second what Harry said!
Dan had three happy bucks. The first was for his wife's birthday, the second was for their recent 45th wedding anniversary, and the third was for his grandson who recently came home with a laminated certificate for "Sports Achievement" from Camp Riverside.
