After our meeting, President-Elect Bob was off to the PELS Conference in Framingham.

A message from Bob:
What an Inspiring Weekend at Rotary Northeast PELS!
Attending the Rotary Northeast Presidents-Elect Leadership Seminar (PELS), formerly known as PETS, was truly inspiring.
I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of Rotary, exchange ideas with over 500 leaders from seven Rotary districts, and network with fellow club Presidents-Elect. It was a pleasure connecting with our incoming District Governor Nicole Brien (Woonsocket), District Governor-Elect Joel Kopke (Plymouth Sunrise), District Governor Nominee Carl Alves (Dartmouth), and Area 7 Assistant Governor Darcy Lee (Fall River).
This year’s seminar, designed by the District Governors, embraced the theme “Learning with Fun and Adapting with Purpose.” The plenary sessions covered:
  1. Engaging Humanity
  2. Elevating Our Foundation
  3. Rotary Action Plan:
    • Increase Impact
    • Expand Our Reach
    • Enhance Participant Engagement
    • Increase Our Ability to Adapt
  4. Unite for Good
  5. Membership:
    • The Club Experience
    • Partnerships
    • Satellite Clubs
    • Club Plans
Additional sessions focused on Foundation grants (both global and district), Public Image (including proper usage and storytelling), and aligning club plans with the Rotary Action Plan and its four priorities.
The sessions were dynamic and led by inspiring speakers, including the incoming Rotary International President, Mário César Martins de Camargo. He encouraged us to "Unite for Good" by embracing growth, service, and connection as part of a plan to expand “the best-qualified team of volunteers on the planet."

I look forward to sharing more insights from PELS in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates.
