President Bob ran this week's meeting. Our guests included John and Barbara Grenier and Claire Fowler, who is no guest. Barbara is known to many in the club as the Mitten Lady, who makes 600-70 a year for various charities. Many of us also remember that the Greniers operated a fine catering service for many years.
Twice and future President Joe Mitchell and current President Bob Resendes observed birthdays last week.
Our first Evening meeting of the year was judged a success.
This week, Dave Correia will conduct a planning meeting for Family Fun Day.
Our annual dinner meeting with the Interact Club will be held March 16 at the Home Plate.
The district’s annual Providence Bruins event is coming up on February 26. See President Bob for tickets.
President Bob and President-elect Joe Mitchell attended the District Mid-Year meeting, where they heard presentations on conflict resolution, DEI, membership,
eliminating barriers, and the Foundation. The district raised $1,111,000 for the Foundation.
Joe is also attending Pre PETS meetings.
The District Conference is scheduled for April 28-30 at Seacrest.
Finally, Dan Lebrun announced that he would be away from Rotary for a time because he is having tumors removed from his spine and shoulder. Our prayers go out to him.
