Our most recent meeting was held at Pilgrim Church and was run by President Joe. We were pleased to welcome Visiting Rotarian Lou Ricciardi! Lou donated a bottle of the Rotary Club of Cognac's specialty Cognac in hopes we can use it as a fundraiser to support the club--thank you, Lou. Joe also shared that Mike Quinn was recently voted an Honorary member of the club at our most recent Board meeting for his years of service.
Our club enjoyed delicious chowder, sandwiches, and desserts, as part of our annual Million Dollar Meal celebration. Thank you to Bob and Barbara Hunt, Carol Sullivan, Mike Tabak, Ed Fowler, and Zulmira for making this event happen.
A reminder to Board members to review and send Joe feedback on the proposed Rotary Constitution and Bylaws ahead of our next Board meeting.

Our speaker on 4/4 will be Ed Doherty presenting on his book Laugh, Lies, and American Justice. You can pre-order the book here and bring it with you to be signed at the 4/4 meeting. He will NOT have copies with him that day.

At our most recent meeting...
...in the tradition of the Million Dollar Meal President Joe gave a presentation on the Rotary Foundation. He shared the good work the Foundation does all over the world, a brief history of the tradition of the Million Dollar Meal, and some stats on our club's giving and philanthropy. He encouraged all members to create a MyRotary account to see the campaigns that the Foundation supports and how your dollars can help. World Water Day, which is a cause we have supported through contributions to Water for Cambodia, is coming up on March 22, so it's a great time to review that impact and make one yourself!
Victor had a happy buck because he was happy to be here.
Lou also had a "Happy to be here" buck and a happy buck for the delicious chowder.
John D. was happy for his plans to see professional bull riding this weekend to cap off February school vacation week.
Dan was happy to see Lou and Victor together again at a Rotary meeting. He was also happy for his grandson's sports-filled day with soccer and basketball.
Carol Sullivan was happy for granddaughter Kirstin's senior volleyball night, and that some of her coaches from Bishop Connelly came to celebrate with her.
Carol Souza had a happy buck for the marvelous chowder and sandwiches. And she added a second for the desserts!
Jen had 2 happy bucks. One was for Victor and Lou, and the second for daughter Cassandra who just accepted her summer internship with the public defender's office in Richmond, VA.
Joe had a happy buck for the Celtics being back in action after the All Star break. He added a happy buck for Bob, Ed, Mike, Carol, Zulmira for all the hard work towards the Million Dollar Meal.

Joe won the scratch ticket this week.
Jim Howland did not win the 50/50 raffle. The pot stands at $137.
