Club News & Announcements

Our most recent club meeting was held on June 11 at Stoneforge. We welcomed one guest, Bob's wife, Michelle.

Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self," was on full display last Saturday, and Bob shared his thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this year's Family Fun Day.

Thanks to everyone's enthusiasm and generosity, it was our largest and most successful Family Fun Day ever!

Particular thanks, as always, go to Dave, whose months of effort makes this event possible.

Carol Sullivan shared Rotary in the News.

Reminders:
  • The installation of officers for 2026-2027 is next week!
  • Our end-of-year celebration is confirmed for Thursday, June 26, at 5:30 at Ward 5.

At Our Most Recent Meeting...

...we welcomed Mary Fox and Kate Dansereau from Community Autism Resources (CAR). Together, they provided an overview of their organization and the free services they offer to individuals with autism and their families throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. The presentation highlighted CAR's mission of providing individualized support, educational resources, community connections, and recreational opportunities that help improve quality of life and foster inclusion for people on the autism spectrum. They also offer free training, Mass Health sign-up support, an office to host 1-on-1 meetings, and much more. If you or someone you know would benefit from connecting with CAR, you can learn more and do so on their website, community-autism-resources.com.

Thanks to Mary and Kate for joining us for lunch and sharing about Community Autism Resources.

Happy & Sad Bucks
  • Dave C. had 20 Happy Bucks collected in the donation jar at Family Fun Day and asked everyone to share their notes and feedback about the event on the Family Fun Day debrief meeting on July 9.
  • Dick had a Happy Buck for the Taunton River Festival taking place on Saturday.
  • Jen  had two Happy Bucks for Dave and Katie and for the success of Family Fun Day.
  • Carol had four Happy Bucks: Meghan successfully taught an older student to read and write; congratulations to Dave on a successful Family Fun Day; great job by John on the grill; and a weekend trip to New Hampshire. She had one sad buck because the rambunctious prize wheel spinners knocked a piece off the prize wheel!
  • John had a happy buck for the completion of a successful business move in Middleborough and for the school year ending soon which will ease the mornings.
  • Ed had Happy Bucks for the success of Family Fun Day and for his middle granddaughter's softball team winning their championship last night.
