At our most recent meeting...

...we enjoyed a presentation from Monica Lombardo, Vice President & Chief Advancement Officer and Kelsey Tabela-Baxter, Director of Annual Giving & Events about the Boys and Girls Club of Metro South. BGCMS is our newest Corporate Member. It was great to welcome Monica and Kelsey and we look forward to working together!

Happy/Sad Bucks

  • Dan had many happy bucks in for all of his family's celebrating in August. Recently it was Dan's birthday,  then his first born child turned 40, then it is his wife's birthday, and finally he and his wife are celebrating their wedding anniversary. On top of all of that, he added an extra buck for our new members from the Boys and Girls Club Metro South. His grandson is an enthusiastic Camp Riverside camper and Dan thanked Monica and Kelsey for all that they do.

  • Ed had a happy buck for a recent trip to Kennebunkport to see grandkids. He also had a buck for a trip to the Maine Car Museum to see a 1948 Tucker. Ed added a sad buck for his discovery that at the resort they were at $25/hr for a maid with 7-2 hours and paid housing wasn't enough to keep them fully staffed.

  • Dave had an update $10. He was glad to be back after some vacation time in Florida. Once they got back, his entire household then had COVID and had to quarantine. He is glad to now be back, and added a buck that he met someone from Somerset, England while in Florida.

  • Jody had a happy buck for a recent vacation to Stowe, VT. His dollar is to celebrate that Rotary has the ability to make him feel welcome wherever he goes, like with this bench in downtown Stowe.

  • George had a happy buck that no one in the club has been accosted by a bear.

I don't think someone won the 50/50 this week.  The pot stands at $151.
