Club News & Announcements
President Bob brought the Club up to date on Club activities and future meetings.
 
There will be a Board of Director's meeting via ZOOM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 5:15 PM. All current and newly elected board members and officers are cordially invited to attend.
 
President Bob recently attended The District conference held at the Seacrest Inn and Resort in Falmouth. He got a lot of information and informed the Club about many District activities and events.

At our most recent meeting...
Zulmira Allcock and Dan LeBrun were program chairs for the day and inducted Club Officers and Board of Directors for the 2022- 2023 Rotary year.
 
Elected President for his second term is President Bob Rezendes who received a standing ovation for his "Service Above Self" and to lead our Club during the 2022 - 2023 year.
 
The following Rotary Club pf Taunton members are elected for the 2022 -2023 Rotary Year:

Present Elect is Joe Mitchell
Treasurer is Maureen Cody
Assistant Treasurer is Jackie Theis

Newly elected Board members to serve from July 2, 2022 through June 30, 2024 are:
John Danahey, Goerge Mendros and Willitts Mendonca

Happy/Sad Bucks
  • Ed Fowler sent some Happy Bucks through an email read to the Club by President Bob regarding the Fowler families recent adventures in New Hampshire.
  • John Danahey donated some Happy Bucks because he and his wife will be celebrating 14 years of marital bliss and for his business adventures.
  • Mike D. contributed a Happy Buck because his son will be going off to college and this may be the last buck he will posses.
  • Guest TJ from the Taunton Office of Development gave a Happy Buck because he and his wife have a second child on the way.
  • David Tipping tossed in a Happy Buck because he had a wonderful trip to Colorado to visit one of his daughters.
  • Dick Shafer tossed in a Happy Buck to tell the Club about his recent trip to Vermont and the delicious Maple Ice Cream he and Roberta sampled.
  • David Correia contributed some Happy Bucks as he and his family will be going for a two week vacation to the Orlando, FL area.
  • Joe Mitchell donated a Happy and Sad Buck. Happy to be back from a wonderful vacation in Portugal and sad because he has to leave the meeting early.
  • Willitts Mendoca contributed some Happy Bucks because he recently returned from a trip to Portugal to celebrate his parent's anniversary to to inform the Club about the great work the Taunton Rotary Interact Club has been doing. Future meetings on the District level are planned and they worked with an outreach and exchange program with the Rotary Interact Club of Kiev, Ukraine. Congrats!
