President Carol Sullivan welcomed the district Assistant Governor and thanked her for meeting with board members and joining us for our meeting.
President Carol let the club know that the tickets for the scratch ticket raffle have been printed and are now available at the Sergeant-at-Arms desk. We have 400 to sell and all Rotarians are encouraged to take some tickets and sell them as soon as possible. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the Club's scholarship fund.
Debbie Logan at Taunton High School hosted an Interact interest meeting on 9/15. We should hear more about the club's plans soon.
There will be a board meeting on 9/22 at 5:30 p.m. at Associates for Human Services. All Board members are expected to attend. All club members are encouraged to attend.
President Carol shared an invitation to club members from Linda Quinn at Marian Manor. They will be having an open house and welcome for their new administrator. All are invited.
Next week, President Carol will have a flyer for Providence Bruins night, which will be on November 5th. More details next week.
Finally, President Carol shared a thank-you note from Co-op for the donation they received.

Did you know that your happy and sad bucks help the club make a donation to the Rotary Foundation?
Lucy G. had a informational happy buck about the Farmer's Market at Hopewell Park. It runs on Thursday evenings through October and is a great place to pick up fresh produce in the city. The 9/15 market will be run by our own Steph Mancini.
Will M. had a happy buck to announce that he will serve as the Chairman this year for Bennett school's Water for Cambodia efforts. We look forward to hearing about this year's plans at future meetings.
Ed F. shared a happy buck after having enjoyed a few days in Washington D.C. at a conference. He was able to view the Washington monument and learn that the monument's unique two-toned color is a result of funding shortfalls delaying the project long enough to require stone to be cut from two different granite quarries. Ed had a second patriotic buck in recognition of the majestic bald eagle nesting on the roof of his hotel.
Our speaker, Charlene Jarest, was kind enough to share a happy buck for being able to join us today.

At the September 15th meeting, our speaker was Assistant Governor Charlene J. Jarest who offered a presentation titled, “Membership Development - Makes for a Vibrant Club!” Charlene spoke about her experience with membership efforts at her own Fall River club and her approach to membership as a three-legged stool standing on fellowship, programming, and service. She answered a number of questions from the group about experiments with different meeting times, changes to requirements over the years, and the best ways to encourage make-ups. Many thanks to Charlene for joining us and sharing her insights.
