At our most recent meeting, held on January 18th, President Joe Livingston presided over our Club's meeting.
President Joe began the meeting with a moment of silence for the passing of members of our Rotary family, Barbara Bodge and David Fernandes.

At our most recent meeting, President Joe Livingston arranged for Andrew Callahan to speak to our club. This was his second presentation, three years after his first.
Andrew is a sophomore at Wesleyan, an Eagle Scout, and has been involved in Scouting for 15 years now. He gave an update to the club on what he has been doing since he last spoke with us. Many of his Scouting roles include mentoring younger scouts and leadership training at some of the higher levels of the organization. Nearing the end of his time in Scouting, something which he is quite sad about, Andrew reflected on all that Scouting has offered him and taught him. He praised the opportunities it afforded him. He acknowledged that a lot of kids stop Scouting around age 14 or 15, but he felt that is where is really began for him as he started moving up into more and more leadership roles. He could tell that Scouting was giving him both the tools he needed to be successful as well as the opportunities to experiment, fail, and succeed with those tools. Andrew's passion for Scouting was clear to all in the room, and we wish him all the best with the next challenges he takes on at Wesleyan and beyond.

Johhny B. had a sad buck for having missed recently. He does try to make it as much as he possibly can. He was sad that on the very cold day we had recently, his cat got out. But! After 11 days out in the cold his cat was found in his neighbors' compost pile and he had a very happy buck for that!
Kit had 10 bucks and the book How to Retire Happy, Wild, and Free to announce that she will be retiring from AHS on June 30.
Joe L. had a sad buck to say that his wife's grandfather was suffering some health issues and in need of thoughts and prayers.
Jess was happy to have been atBruinsgame last night. And they won!
Ed was sorry to have missed last week's meeting, but he was in New Hampshire with his grandkids and enjoyed it very much!
