Our most recent meeting was led by Past President Bob Rezendes.
We welcomed Visiting Rotarian our District's Assistant Gov. and and Past President of the Rotary Club of Dartmouth Carl Alves. Carl shared information about his non-profit affiliations, his efforts to increase diversity in Rotary, and he hopes to join us at future meetings.
Carol Sullivan shared that the backpack project is underway! Monetary donations are being accepted as well as items for the backpacks. The deadline is the 1st or 2nd week of Aug
At our most recent meeting...
We were pleased to welcome Tanya Lobo of True Diversity. Tanya spoke about her preventative programming for children and youth. She also discussed Together, where mental health clinicians and teachers work to help children learn through a different “lens” than regular classrooms, and the Ready Program which is a career pathway program for challenged students. Her many programs work together to help create opportunities for those students that are economically challenged as well as needing special education services. Thank you Tanya, for joining us and sharing about all of these programs.
Zulmira had a Happy Buck for her son, who purchased a brand new vehicle to commute to work and no longer staying at home but also sad that on his first day commuting to work he was rear-ended by a hit and run driver!
Shavon was happy to have Tanya present to us today and for Bob witnessing her granddaughter entertaining everyone at the YMCA grand re-opening with her singing and comic relief.
Jody had a Happy Buck for Tanya being there today.
Carl had a Happy Buck for Tanya.
Jenn O had a Happy Buck for her daughter who is half way through her internship in Kosovo and for an upcoming trip with her daughters to England/Scotland/Wales and for Carl’s visit.
Bob R had a Happy Buck for attending the YMCA ribbon cutting and the great job on the renovations. And he had a Happy Buck for BCC hosting a STEM event with 30 young ladies last Saturday at the BCC Taunton campus.

George won the scratch ticket this week.
Ed WON the 50/50 raffle. He got half the pot of $272.
