At our most recent meeting, held on December 21st, President Joe Livingston presided over our Club's meeting.
The RYLA Winter Ball is coming up on January 5, and it is a great fundraiser to show or support to future Rotarians. Former Interact member Cat Seaver is involved in the planning and looking for help with raffle baskets if anyone can donate.
President Joe presented our gift to Matt and Jess. We appreciate all they do for us!
The scratch ticket raffle is back! Everyone should have received 5 tickets to sell via mail, but you are encouraged to sell as many as possible!

At our most recent meeting, Joanne Storrs was the Program Chair. Joanne arranged for Margaret Pilkington to present to the group. Margaret is the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Manager for Bristol Elder Services. An Ombudsman volunteer acts as an advocate for residents living in facilities such as nursing homes or rest homes. Ombudsmen offer a way for residents and their loved ones to voice their complaints and have their concerns addressed so that residents can live their lives with dignity and respect. The program’s goals are to improve residents’ quality of care, life, and environment; to advocate for the protection of their rights; and to provide information about long-term care issues affecting nursing and rest home residents in the greater Attleboro, Fall River, and Taunton areas. Margaret is currently looking for additional volunteer Ombudsman. If you or someone you know is interested, you can contact (508) 675-2101 and speak directly with Margaret.

Jody had a happy buck to celebrate the 50th anniversary, to the day, of his first Rotary meeting which he attended with his dad.
Carol Souza had 20 happy bucks. She is happy to be here for her first meeting since October.
Rich V. had an amazed buck for Jody's memory.
Joe M. had 5 happy bucks for the Celtics and he wished everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Joe L. had a sad buck for missing last week. He is happy that the Giants seem likely to secure the #2 pick in the NFL Draft--the first thing he can be happy about all season. He was also happy that the Boy Scout Council he is a part of is leading all of the Northeast in growth and he is proud to be part of the team.
