Our most recent club meeting was held on October 23 at Stoneforge and was led by George. We welcomed Sandra McGunigle and Tanya Allain from Manet Community Health as guests.

Our night meeting is this week, and we will be at The Chateau in Norton at 5:30.

Thank you from the Taunton High Interact Club for the generous donations of candy in support of their volunteering at the City of Taunton’s annual Trunk or Treat on October 25th.

Prez Bob is going to be the celebrity bartender Pouring for a Cause at Talisa's On Main, on November 13, from 5 to 8 pm. Money raised will be donated to Rotary International's efforts to fight polio.

...we were thrilled to welcome Sandra McGunigle, Chief of Staff/Senior Director of Marketing & Communications for Manet Community Health Center.

This was our first meeting with Manet Community Health Center since 2015! Founded in Quincy in 1979, Manet is a not-for-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC) providing primary care and wraparound services designed to reduce emergency room visits and offer more comprehensive community-based care.

Manet opened its Taunton site in 2014, and it has quickly grown to become the organization’s second busiest location. With facilities at Mill River Plaza and the Taunton Public Schools Welcome Center, Manet continues to meet a growing need for accessible health services across Southeastern Massachusetts. Their Street Outreach Prevention Team works directly in the community, and they hope to expand their local footprint by bringing additional services—like a pharmacy and vision center—to Taunton, mirroring their offerings in Quincy.

Sandra made sure to let us know that everyone is invited to support their mission at Manet’s Fall Fundraiser on November 13! We appreciate all of the information she shared with us, and hope to see them again.

George was Happy that the Indianapolis Colts have the best record in football; sad that Dick messed up a word in God Bless America.
Zulmira – Happy to welcome our two guests, Sandra and Tanya. Also happy for the 42 bags of candy donated for Interact—thank you! Excited to be booked with speakers and events through January.
Carol Souza – Happy that the fall foliage was extra beautiful this year and sent photos to her sister-in-law in Florida.
Will – Grateful for Interact candy drive donations. Shared a District Interact update: attended the first District Youth Engagement Council meeting of the year, where Taunton received a shout-out from John Beauchaine, who is starting an Interact Club in Falmouth. Proud to be recognized as a model Interact Club!
