A service project group, led by Carol Sullivan, is working on a Backpack for Kids service project. If you or your business has school items to donate please let Carol know. We are also accepting monetary donations to support the project.
An extra special welcome to Dennis Cody who joined us for lunch. Great to see you! And to Claire Fowler--looking great--and who made an awesome handout about the fractional shield on display.
Foundation Chair Joe Mitchell shared a Rotary Foundation Minute.
And we have a new membership proposal for review:

At our most recent meeting...
...we enjoyed a presentation on historic Taunton currency from our charismatic numismatist, Ed Fowler.
Ed brought with us a small percentage of his impressive collection, and shared local bills with Taunton connections with the group. We were also pleased to have fellow numismatists Dan Dolan and Chris Cabral and their wives Patty and Maryanne join us for lunch and share some of their treasures. Thanks to Ed for a very enjoyable program.
Happy/Sad Bucks
Julie had a happy buck for a birthday surprise she knows is coming tomorrow. And she had a happy buck for the ice cream social/fundraiser she organized for 7/28!
Will had a happy buck to see Claire, a happy buck for today's presentation on currency, and a happy buck to see Dennis!
Dick had a happy buck for his TDC meeting in the morning, and as he continues to uncover papers from his office move he found a form from his first day on the job working for the city from July 5, 1987.
Ed was happy to have Claire at the meeting today, happy for his treasure hunting friends for lunch, and a buck to dedicate today's presentation to Mike at the Raynham Flea, another treasure hunting friend, who recently passed away.
Our guest shared a happy buck to be here and happy to be part of a supportive community.
