President Carol thanked all the Rotarians present for their support so far during her term as President.
A reminder to all members to keep selling raffle tickets. Each $10 ticket is a chance for a book of 100 $10 scratch tickets. The funds raised will benefit our scholarship fund. We’re hoping to sell all of them in time to have a drawing soon after Christmas. They’ll be great stocking stuffers. There are only 400 tickets to be sold.
Debbie Logan, our Taunton High Interact leader, planned a general meeting for 10/6 at 2:05. President Carol will attend and Joe L. Anyone else who wants to be involved is invited .
IMPORTANT: This week, the October 13th meeting will be a bowling social at Ryan Family Amusement Center at 5:30 instead of our regular luncheon meeting. We have 5 lanes reserved for 2 hours. $10 per person includes the shoe rental. Our bowling night last year turned out to be a lot of fun for all, so we hope you can join.
President Carol was very pleased to see so many Rotarians supporting our members at the Marian Manor Open House. She also read a thank you note from the Boy Scouts for the support they received from the Club.

Joe Mitchell had a happy buck for chatting with Joe Pacheco recently. He asked Joe about BP's progress in fixing our podium. The official report is: "They're working on it."
George Mendros was happy that no one took a knee during the singing of God Bless America.
Will Mendonca had three bucks. One was informational about Rotarian Harry Rose who is in Florida but safely out of the path of Hurricane Matthew this weekend. He had a happy buck for seeing Jann Alden recently. That buck comes with a "hi" from Jann. Finally, another happy buck for the success and participation in the recent United Way golf tournament.
Ed Fowler was happy for Rotarian Ryan Hazel who is on vacation this week, but sad that his trip is to the Carolinas and he may be having to deal with the storm.
Joe Livingston had a happy buck for his anniversary today. He had another in anticipation of his anniversary trip to Disney next week, and a final happy buck for the great news about scouting recruitment numbers so far this fall!
Kit Tunney shared a happy buck for the success of her recent AHS spaghetti supper. No meatballs were left over!
Dan LeBrun had a happy buck to announce that invitations to the TASC Annual Celebration are out, and he is confident it will be a great event on October 26. He would be happy to share more details with anyone who is interested.
John Beauchaine had an update to that pending buck from last time about the Bills game: it is sad. But he had another very happy buck for Tom Brady's return this weekend.
Mike Quinn had an information buck for an update on the whereabouts of our Rotary bell. He claims it is in an unknown location after a week of travel and mayhem. President Carol seemed to question some of his details and shared some ransom emails that had been sent to her. Case pending...
Linda Quinn had a happy buck for the 30 people who attended Marian Manor's recent Open House. Thanks to all from Rotary who came and showed their support.
At the October 6th meeting, Mike Tabak was the Program Chair. Mike arranged for Robert Sullivan, President and CEO of Pet Food Aid, to join us and speak about his non-profit project Pet Food Aid. The mission of Pet Food Aid is to provide Cat and Dog Food to the local Food Banks in Bristol County Massachusetts. The organization wants to make getting pet food effortless and accessible to those in need. Their philosophy is: "Helping People by Helping their Pets." This is a non-profit 501(c) 3 IRS Public Charity, and they are in need of storage space for their supplies if anyone knows of a location available to rent. Robert's passion and commitment to this project is clear and admirable and we wish him well in his efforts.
