Club News & Announcements
Our most recent club meeting was held on January 15, and led by President Bob. We kicked off the meeting by recognizing January birthdays and anniversaries. Bob also put out a call for speakers. If you have ideas for engaging programs or know someone who would make a great speaker, please share your suggestions with Zulmira.
Looking ahead, planning is underway for a Spring Day of Service. We’re exploring the possibility of partnering with the Lions Club on a meal packing with End Hunger New England. More details to come—stay tuned!
There is also the District's Mid-Year Meeting / PRE-PELS coming up on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at New England Institute of Technology, 1 New England Tech Boulevard, East Greenwich, RI 02818, 8:00 AM–12:30 PM. This meeting is open to everyone, and more information was sent via email, or we can get it to if you are interested in going!

At Our Most Recent Meeting...
...Dave C. have his first update on Family Fun Day 2026! Family Fun Day is our club’s major annual fundraiser, which enables us to support local students through scholarships, partner with local nonprofits, and fund service projects throughout the year.
This year will be the 11th Annual Family Fun Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM at Camp Riverside (no rain date). Entertainment is shaping up well, with a face painter, balloon artist, magician, and live band all confirmed, and additional requests still in progress.
One notable change this year is that the club will handle food service. John D. will lead the effort, serving hamburgers and hot dogs. All necessary equipment is available at the camp, eliminating the need for rentals.
Marketing efforts will include the TMLP flyer, a Facebook event, and a flyer with a QR code for pre-registration. Additional promotion will hopefully include signage at the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club, a TEMA roadside sign (thank you, Jim!), and coverage on TCAM.
Financially, Family Fun Day continues to build on its strong success. Last year’s event raised $18,000, and this year’s sponsorship goal is $20,000. Hard-copy sponsorship forms will be available at the meeting desk, while digital versions will be posted on our club website here:

Dave C. was happy that he found $16 in his Family Fun Day folder when he pulled it out to start work on FFD2026. It's from the donation jar at last year's event, so that's $16 in Happy Bucks from FFD 2025 rolling over to FFD 2026!
Ed was happy to have won an auction for a rare Taunton $20 bank proof note at a recent auction.
Bob R. was happy to have purchased a Drake Maye card about six weeks ago—and it’s already up 4×!
