A reminder that the installation of officers will be next week,  June 27th at the Jockey Club at 5:30 pm.

Reminder that our Cognac raffle is live. Zulmira is handling selling tickets, so please reach out to her. The raffle will run until all 50 tickets are sold, and then we will pull a winner. We have 16 left to sell.

At our most recent meeting...

...President Joe hosted a Club Assembly and gave his Year End Report to the Club. In his final meeting as President, Joe recapped his efforts towards maximizing our use of ClubRunner, connecting with members, updating the bylaws, continuing our track record of service projects, supporting the Interact Club, and balancing the budget. We saw great success in all of these areas, and thank Joe for an excellent year--his third as our Club President!

Happy & Sad Bucks

  • Ed had a Happy Buck to thank Dave C. for his work on Family Fun Day.
  • Dave had Happy Bucks for each of his sons who are off to middle and high school next year. He had a Buck for his younger son's summer hockey team off to a 3-1 start. He had a Buck for Portugal's opening Euro Cup victory. And a final Buck to thank Joe for a great year as President.
  • George had a Happy Buck to have been on Silver City Password recently, but also a Sad Buck because he lost to PRIDE.
  • Carol Sullivan had a Happy Buck for Joe and his great year; a Happy Buck for Ed who made the first donation of supplies to this year's backpack service project; and a reminder buck that she is accepting donations all summer long for the supplies to fill 85 backpacks.
  • Mike C. had a Happy Buck also being recently being on Silver City Password.
  • John D. had a Sad Buck learning about Dan's health challenges; a Happy Buck for his daughter finishing first grade; a Happy Buck for his son for graduating fourth grade and also heading off to middle school next year; and a Buck to have been absent lately because he's been so busy, though glad to be at the meeting today.
  • Zulmira had a Sad Buck for Dan, who continues to face health challenges and is currently waiting for a bed at MGH. His wife asks us to continue to keep him in our thoughts, especially for that bed! And she added a Happy Buck for the Celtics.
  • Joe had 5 Bucks. One for Dan. One for a great Rotary year. And the rest for the Celtics.
