Weekly club invoices have been sent--mostly by email. We have a new Venmo account which you can use for Happy Bucks, Dues, of the weekly dues- please include a note for all payments so we know what you are paying for!

 

All 2,000 masks that were our part of the Rotary Million Mask Challenge is complete after the final drop off to Taunton Public Schools on 10/22. Donations were made to 12 local organizations.

 

The Interact Club is looking to conduct service projects and hopefully, they will join a meeting soon.

Welcome to our guests: Judeline Galek and Matt Ward

At our most recent meeting, our speaker was Matt Ward. His talk was about second chances. Everyone wants a second chance - sometimes it's an adult or a child, sometimes it's a parent who gets caught up in drugs, sometimes it's the family that lost everything in 2020. How can we help? That's where the Milton Hershey School comes in. It is a private school for boys and girls in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Milton and Catherine Hershey founded the school in 1909 with money they earned from the chocolate company. Since then 10,000 children from lower-income families have been transformed through high-quality education and structured home life. The campus is more than 7,000 acres, and is one of the largest in the United States and is one of the most well-resourced, technologically advanced, institutions in the nation and includes 203 buildings, six swimming pools, animal barns, and has 2,315 student computers. It is 100% free to help at-risk children. The criteria for eligibility is that the child must be born in the US, must be enrolled in the school by 16, and meet the school's low-income guidelines. MHS now serves kindergarten up to 12th grade and now serves 2,100 students. Thanks to Matt for sharing your story with us.
